I had never used a spinning wheel before...
But I could really get used to this...
I bought my Ashford "Joy" from The Woolery. The price was right, the carrying case was cheaper than anywhere else and I got free shipping, a free niddy-noddy, free maintainance kit and free book. Really, though, she had me at hello :)

My first wheel was a Joy. I loved that wheel, and would still have it if my friend didn't buy the Joy from me. :D
It treadles with almost no effort, it spins well, and it packs up and goes anywhere.
Congratulations on your new wheel and the lovely new obsession (ah-hem) yarn! Puts my first handspun to shame.
