OK, so, one of the things that I love about yarn-y festivals is the wide variety of wonderful and fun stuff that's available, showing me all the things that I didn't even know I wanted. One of those booths was practically made for me. It had these kits filled with lots of multicolored, little balls of shiny, sparkly yarns that came in a cute-y little bag and a beyouuuuuuutiful pin. Unfortunately, I couldn't bring myself to pay the price of entry, I even petted every dam kit trying to convince myself that I reeeeeeaaaaallly could. The solution to my dilemma came from my mom, normally a total enabler. She came at me with a flier for a local yarn shop and I decided that I would soothe my savaged inner yarnie by buying.....uh.....more yarn! The deal was that I would spend half as much as the kit. That way, I would get to pick my own yarn AND still get multiple-little-sparkly-shinies, even if I didn't get a cute-y little bag or a pin. So, this is what I came away with...

So I wound it and stowed it in my handy yarn management system...

and started to knit...first it looked like this...

but it wasn't enough yardage to make what I had in mind so I added more holes in hopes of getting a bigger piece of fabric...
but it still wasn't enough, so eventually it became this...
Now, the last thing I wanted to show you...and then I'll leave this Madrona thing alone...

I saw those clogs on a lady in the lobby of the hotel but by the time I got to the booth that was selling them, they only had size 10...but Knitters Dream has them and they aren't too expensive!!!!
