...happened really fast! If it wasn't three days before Christmas and I didn't have a whole 'nother one to do (and every relative we have coming in at noon tomorrow) I would have redone it and cast on more stitches. As it is, I cast on 44 stitches using size 3mm and Duet Sock Yarn (fingering weight) in Bauer Brick. I bought it at my fave...The Loopy Ewe. They are out of this color way right now but keep coming back, they'll get it again :) I stole the idea from the preview of Spin-Off Winter 2007 edition project called Anklettos and Wristlettos: Fringe benefits by Phreadde Davis. Here is the link...it's under the project heading...um, I have to confess that I didn't actually buy the mag, I just looked it over and decided that the ankletto...

...was a sock with no heel and went from there. If you're familiar with socks, I knit about 4 inches (including two inches of 2x2 rib) then did the increases for an instep and then did additional increases at the center top of the foot. It wanted to roll like crazy (of course) so I crocheted at the bottom and had to steam block it...I'm still really excited about it...next time, I'll cast on more stitches, and do some seed stitch the last inch or so...maybe some beads...*sigh* I can't wait until Christmas knitting is over :)
